  4. Bonnie and family
Was saddened to read of Joe’s passing. I know he had been ill for some time, but it is still a shock. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time

  5. Our sincere condolences to Joe’s wife and children. Joe was a longtime friend from flying and skydiving. We had many wonderful times together over the years. I put him out on his first and eventful skydive out of the McBride Airstrip. He was a great guy.

  6. Denise and bonnie,
I am so sorry to hear about Joe. Denise, I would love to get back in touch with you. Please call me sometime or at least send me a letter if you can. I am living in Volga now and remarried.

  7. Joe was a kind and caring man. I knew him from skydiving. He was so patient and fun to be around. I will miss him.
My sympathy goes out to his family.

  8. Joe, although stubborn at times, always brightened my day when he came in to see me. He always made me smile and his humor will be greatly missed by myself and many others. I enjoyed viewing his recent venture of sky-diving!

  9. We will miss the twinkle in your eye, the sound of your laugh and most of all your friendship. Fly on Joe Dean.

  10. Joe was a great guy, a really great guy. I loved his chuckle when he was humored. I made my last jump with Joe as pilot at an IPT reunion probably 10 years ago. I gave Joe corrections, L, R, L, R, L, R… so he would remember my spotting antics; and of course I remember his denigration of my Starlite canopy, offering “years of reliable service…”.
Joe was my favorite pilot of all I’d ever ridden to altitude with.
    I’ll miss you, Joe.
    Carl Smith
