Raymond Charles Druger, Sr., 68, of Marion, died Thursday, January 6, 2011, at ManorCare Health Services, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Services: 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2011, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Marion. Survivors include his wife, Cathryn; sons, Larry (Melinda) Laughthridge, Raymond 'Chuck' (Maggie) Druger Jr., James (Jeannette) Leslie, and Nic (Tammy) Schoelerman; daughters, Suzanne (Bruce) Pike and Carolyn (Matt) Hanson; brother, CJ 'Bud' (Jeannette) Druger; sister, Marilyn Dudley; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Ray was born December 20, 1942, in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, the son of Cornelius and Bertha (Vanderlinde) Druger. He married Cathryn Luethye on February 14, 1997. Ray was a cab driver and dispatcher for Yellow Cab and Century Cab. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and playing penny slots. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be directed to the family.

  1. So sorry about the loss of a great friend. Ray was always the same guy when ever you talked with him. Always ready to pitch in and help with any problems. a good card player also. Both of us will miss his smile and his great gift of talk.

  6. So sorry to hear about Grandpa Ray! Dad called me to let me know but he told me the wrong date for the funeral. I will be unable to attend but I want you all to know that Angel and I are thinking of you all.
