Sandra (High) Chambers, 54, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, January 21, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2011, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Brice Hughes. Survivors include her father, Paul High of Joplin, Missouri; a son, Jon Boots of Cedar Rapids; brother, Gary (Jan) High of Phoenix; sisters, Linda Curtis, Jackie (Russ) Lewis, and Darla (Chuck) Gunderson, all of Cedar Rapids, step-children, Willis Jr., Wade, Warren, and Matthew Chambers, and Tammie Chambers and Salley Miller; many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; and special pets, Molly and Susu. Sandy was born September 6, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Paul and Doris (Currier) High. On September 21, 1983, she married Willis Chambers Jr. in Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her mother; husband; and sister, Lorie High. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

  1. Aunt Sandy will be very loved and missed. She always had a kind heart and always helped others along the way of her life. I am truly sadden by her passing, but her memory will always live on.

  6. Im so sorry to hear about, the sudden death of Sandy, she alway’s came out to say hi with her 2 lovely dogs as we were painting creekside… even after we had a friendship…. we will dearly miss u Sandy… God Bless You and Johnny, I Will Keep You And Johnny In Our Prayers….. RIP Margie and Rob….
