Earl 'Buck' Buckallew, Sr., 67, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, May 6, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Services: 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Brandy) Pollock and Earl (Kim Kruse) Buckallew, Jr. both of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Loretta (Robert) Curtis of Cedar Rapids and Valerie Johnson of Missouri; brother, Bill (Robin) Buckallew; special nephew, Tom Buckallew, both of Cedar Rapids; and 18 grandchildren. Earl was born January 17, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Walter and Alice (Fields) Buckallew. He was preceded in death by his parents; and significant other, Janice Buckallew-Pollock. Memorial may be directed to the family.

Our hearts go out to the entire Buckallew family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
We were so sorry to hear of Dicks’ passing. I wanted to go visit him at the hospital, but came down with broncitis. We sure had fun at his mom and dads’ house as children. It was so thoughtful of Bill to let us know he ws so ill.
