Larry E. Benters, 60, of Bertram, died Friday, February 24, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Bertram Town Hall. Burial at a later date at Campbell Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mary Coonfare; and a sister, LaVonne Prespare of Fresno, California. Larry was born December 18, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Jack and Beth (Wilkes) Benters. On September 22, 1984, he married Mary Coonfare. He worked for Iowa Manufacturing and enjoyed computer games and movies. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dennis. Memorials may be directed to the family.
