Constantin Barbulescu, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, February 20, 2011, at his home. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, Cedar Rapids, by Father Ciprian Sas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, with a Trisagion service at 7 p.m. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his wife, Sofia; son, Ion and his wife Mihaela; and two grandchildren, Roxanna and Octavia. Constantin was born March, 25, 1929, in Bucarest, Romania, the son of Ion and Aurica Barbulescu. He married Sofia Lembrau on April 1, 1961 in Bucarest. Constantin was a retired engineer and member of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed keeping an eye on the stock market. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Melania Ioanitescu.
