  1. Bob and I have always had a special relationship even though we did not communicate much after we went our separate ways after college and marriage. We roomed together for a year while we were both attending the University of Iowa (1964). I will miss Bob. I love the picture you have included in this obituary. Please except my heart felt sympathies for your loss.

  7. Very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I am one of Bob’s many, many cousins and was fortune enough to see him in Ottumwa for a long over due reunion a couple of years ago. I remember our gatherings around the holidays with 10 parents and 22 cousins jammed into our grand parents small house. I remember football games on Thanksgiving with Bob, Gary, and Jerry beating up on us smaller kids. What wonderful times those were. He will always be playing on that field in our hearts. May God bless you all. Dennis Ellis
