Cheryl Kae Harms

Cheryl Kae Rarey Harms, 64 of Iowa City, formerly of Mount Vernon, died Monday, April 5, 2010 at Living Center West, Cedar Rapids from complications due to brain cancer. Cheryl's open house, will be Thursday, from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M., at Morgan Tribute Center, Mount Vernon. Surviving Cheryl is her family, mother Marjorie Rarey, Living Center West, Cedar Rapids, sister Lorie Kulberg, Fairfax, California, son Bryan and wife Andrea McGinness, and their children; Keagan, Alexandra, and Connor, Clive, Iowa, daughter, Angela and husband David Randall, and their children; Jake, Gabe, and Jorie, Mount Vernon, Iowa, and daughter Amy and husband Troy Koerselman, and their children; Lexi and Jentzen, Ankeny, Iowa. Preceding Cheryl in death were her father Raymond Rarey and sister Donna Rarey Miller. Cheryl spent most of her life and was raised in Iowa City. She graduated from City High School, 1963. She moved to Mount Vernon to raise her three children. Cheryl moved back to Iowa City, and was diagnosed with cancer, October of 2009. The focus of Cheryl's life was her children.
